About Me
My name is Davide, I’m an Italian living in Hong Kong and I am a Landscape and Nature Photographer. I have always been fascinated by the beauty and diversity of nature, and I love to capture it with my camera. I enjoy traveling to different places and exploring new perspectives of the world. My goal is to share my passion and vision with others through my images.
My photography covers a wide range of landscapes that I encounter in nature. I capture everything from the enchanting night sky with the Milky Way, to the majestic views of mountains and valleys, to the serene and tranquil scenes of forests. My photos reflect different emotions and feelings, from calmness and peace to awe and wonder to drama and moodiness.
I also edit my photos as much as I shoot them. The camera cannot reproduce “reality” as I see it with my eyes, so I use editing tools to bring out the life and the mood of the pictures. The way I edit depends on how I feel at the moment.
What else?
Photography is my big passion, but not the only one.
I’m also very much involved in Software Development and DevOps (in fact, I paid the bills working as DevOps and Infrastructure lead for my current company). This has also helped me in my photography: even though it is an art, a creative outlet, I have found a way to apply all the “problem solving” skills, the analytical thinking, and the process-driven mindset which I developed over the many years working in the field.
And, if you didn’t know it, I used to be an MMA fighter (when I was younger). But unfortunately I had to retire due to an injury to one of my Achilles tendons. Luckily, after almost 2 years of physiotherapy, I am like new and I can hike to the most beautiful locations to make my photos!
